My University training is Integrative, which draws upon several concepts and theories, including psychodynamic, humanistic and CBT.  I also use sand, creative arts and therapeutic play.  I am a believer that ‘one size doesn’t fit all’ and will use these different approaches to meet the needs of my clients.

I am passionate about young people’s mental health and I have 12 years experience working with children and adolescents as well as adults.

Since 2009, I have set up, managed and run a school Counselling Service, working in Primary and Secondary Schools.  I have experience of working in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and also with looked after children/young people, children/young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).

I manage Student Counsellor placements, volunteers and sessionally-paid Counsellors within the School Counselling Service.
