My Approach
My approach is Integrative, which is a combined approach to counselling that brings together different elements of specific therapies. I believe in 'one size doesn't fit all' and I use these different elements to meet the needs of the client.

I use elements of psychodynamic theory and practice, humanistic theory and practice, therapeutic play, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) theory and practice

With young children, I use therapeutic play. The child communicates through play, creating their inner world, experiences and feelings. This work is non-directive and different mediums are used, such as clay, sand, art, toys etc.

I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where people can talk about their struggles and difficulties. As a Counsellor, I will not tell you what to do, together we can explore and understand the difficulties you are experiencing and work out a way forward.

At times life can be tough and things can happen that are out of our control. These things can have a significant impact on our lives; our everyday functioning, our emotional health and our physical health. People often return to counselling to address these difficulties.
